The Alaska Evaluation Network Virtual Speaker Series is an opportunity to learn and to share ideas and network with evaluators across Alaska. This speaker series is in lieu of the 2021 in-person Alaska evaluation conference. We hope you will join us!
It is free to attend the sessions. If you are not a current member of AKEN, we ask you to consider becoming a member of AKEN.
Sessions will take place on Fridays April 16, 23, and 30 from 12-1:30pm. All sessions will be on Zoom (link provided in confirmation and reminder emails). Tentative details for each session are listed below.
April 16 - Data Visualization with Stephanie Evergreen
Join Stephanie Evergreen, PhD, author of Effective Data Visualization, for a live graph makeover. Stephanie will walk through her approach and step-by-step redesign of a graph submitted by an AKEN member.
April 23 - Ignite presentations
Up to 8 Alaska researchers and evaluators will be selected to each present 20 powerpoint slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds. Topics will be varied based on presenter and Q&A will follow. More details will be posted after proposals are selected.
